Before I share these 7 delicious, nutritious juicing recipes with you, I wanted to address some common questions about juicing.   Frequently I get asked,  is juicing nutritious? It is a controversial topic, but it is not bad for you. Juicing is an amazing way to get nutrients in your body. A glass of your favorite juice recipe is so much better for you than a processed sugar-laden snack, because the sugar is in its raw form from a natural source. Using juicing as a way to get nutrients isn’t the only benefit, it is also  a way to utilize veggies and fruits if they might otherwise go bad.

Overall, juicing can be an amazing part of healing your gut.  Although it does not have the fiber like whole fruits and vegetables it is packed full of vitamins and minerals your body needs.  I also love using the pulp in the compost for my garden.

Here are 7 of my favorite, nutritious juicing recipes, enjoy!


1. Green Vitality


1 cup of spinach or kale

2 celery sticks

½ large cucumber

1 apple, cored

1 handful of parsley

¼ lemon


2. Orange Immunity

½ small pineapple, peeled and cored

1 large orange peeled

2 large carrots with greens removed

½ inch ginger root

½ lemon


3. Digestion Detox Juice

5 carrots

4 stalks celery

1 cucumber

1 beet

1 apple

½ lemon


4. Jump Start Juice


2 apples

2 carrots

2 stalks celery

1 cucumber

1 clove garlic

handful of spinach (or other greens)


5. Anti-Inflammatory Juice


4 celery stalks


1Green Vitality

1 cup pineapple


½ green apple


1 cup spinach


1 lemon


1 knob ginger


6. Metabolism Booster


3 apples


1 large cucumber


1 large lemon with skin


1 lime with skin

7. Purple People Eater Juice


1 bunch purple kale


¼ head red cabbage


1 red beet


2 carrots


1 inch ginger


1 lemon with skin
