Hi, welcome!

My name is Brandy Hickman, and I am a National Board-Certified Health Coach. The NBHWC has collaborated with the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) to provide this robust board certification. This credential represents training, education, and assessment standard, allowing me to advance in all aspects of health.

Living Light with Brandy Lane is my Inspired Nutrition and Health Coaching Business, where I am an integrated Health Coach and have created my signature program Kitchen Therapy, which is an individual, group, and membership coaching programs. I guide people in the kitchen with simplistic solutions by letting go of hang-ups and discovering a better relationship with their kitchen. I am also the owner of 2B Well Integrative Health Collaborative, a space for both people seeking natural preventative healthcare and healthcare providers wanting to collaborate with other professionals and get support for their businesses.

When I am in the kitchen, my family will often describe me as a mad scientist. I am not exactly sure what that always means, but maybe it is my experimentation spirit. This way of being in the kitchen has not always been the case for me. I have discovered this part of myself as I healed and learned not to stand in my kitchen frozen and overwhelmed. I love to pull stuff out - maybe even a day or two before I make something. I enjoy planning out meals in a way that works for my family and me. Playing in the kitchen and not feeling alone in the kitchen is the way to freedom and becoming a kitchen mad scientist. I changed my mindset. Maybe you can too!

What does a Health and Wellness Coach do?

Living Light with Brandy Lane encompasses health coaching to heal individuals from the inside out. As a health coach, I hold a safe and supportive space to promote change. I engage a client's mind and heart by assisting them to discover their strengths, clarify their values, increase awareness, set priorities, meet their challenges, brainstorm possibilities, and design positive actions.

As a coach, I intend to facilitate a process of discovery for someone where insights are seen, and inherent strengths and values are identified and enhanced. This work perpetuates the growth and change in someone's life, whether it is learning to manage stress, cook healthier, exercise more, or lose weight. I partner with clients seeking to enhance their well-being through self-directed, lasting changes, aligned with their values.

I do this where so much happens or doesn't happen for us with our health:
